3 Fun DIY Cards – Dhillondeeds

I am a sucker for DIY projects. I especially love giving and receiving handmade presents. I feel that they hold so much more thought and value as the person took time out just for me to make me something unique.

1. Handmade Card

This is the most simple card ever. I made this card for my husband from our daughter. I think it was cute and some what child like representing her. My husband holds onto any cards from us but he loves ones that are handmade. I paired it with a box of his favourite chocolates. Super thoughtful yet it didn’t cost much money at all.

You will need:

  • Paper
  • Pens
  • Decorative things

Hold an A4 page landscape and then fold your page in half and then turn it landscape and fold it in half again. Then get creative. These are so customisable.

2. Cute Note Inside A Shoe Box

This is my favourite by far and you can get so creative with these kinds of cards. I bought these trainers and stuck a cute message inside with a matching theme. These work well with donuts too. It just adds something extra special to a box that will thrown away. You might not have much cash over after splurging on something big and this is a great way to add a message they can keep forever.

You will need:

  • Paper
  • Pens
  • Glue stick
  • Message from the heart

Write your message on the paper and glue stick it to the inside of the box!

3. An Edible Card

This was my favourite to make! It’s quick, super inexpensive and a hit! Sometimes it can be very difficult for me to buy presents for anyone because they have everything, in my opinion. Receiving a box of chocolate is great but imagine a mega card with treats??! My husband really loved this so much and I thoroughly enjoyed making it for me. I think this is an awesome gift for all ages!

You will need:

  • Project board
  • Marker
  • Glue
  • Message from the heart
  • Candy

Write your message before hand and work out what candy can replace certain words. There are loads of examples on the internet you can search for inspiration.  Once you have decided on a message space your candy on the board first and write your message around it so that you know how big or small to write. You don’t want to run out of space. Make sure to stick it down firmly too, you don’t want to loose the candy!

Cute and love all these ideas, Fazzee! ❤ I am a sentimental person so I really value those gifts especially the ones were created by the giver. It gives much value knowing the person pit an effort for that matter. 🙂

Thank you darling. It’s so true that’s why it’s my favourite. I’ve always made hand crafted cards for my parents growing up. It’s also such fun to look at them now that I’m an adult 😂
