I was approached to do a review for [M]Botanicals a few weeks ago. I haven’t heard a lot about the company or know any people who have tried their products but I was excited to find a skin care range that was cruelty free so I just had to try it out for myself but now that I have I want to share my experience. I absolutely love facial oils and they are all the rage at the moment so I was really excited when the lovely Rebecca from [M]Botanicals was kind enough to send me The Rejuvenating Facial Elixir.
MBotanicals is all about skin and nature and like I mentioned before their products are cruelty free. They use natural ingredients in producing their skincare line and they are socially aware. They run a sustainable business making sure to use local farmers and you can be sure that your skin is getting the best treatment naturally.
The Rejuvenating Facial Elixir
It is an oil-based formula. Although it is an oil, it isn’t greasy and absorbed into my skin really quickly. It has a beautiful, relaxing, floral aroma which I absolutely love – thanks to the rose ingredient.
It is packaged in a very simple, minimalistic way. The bottle is made from a brown coloured glass with a simple white sticker and a black dropper. It’s very sleek and aesthetically pleasing. The product itself is a yellowy tone and has 30ml worth of product inside.
While this is a facial elixir for mature skin it is formulated light enough for all skin types. I also like that it’s multipurpose as I’ve used it it more ways than one. It works brilliantly as a facial oil if you just want that dewy looking skin, under makeup as a moisturiser, before I apply liquid lipstick to help hydrate my lips and surprisingly it works as a makeup remover too.
I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and a little goes along way. My skin is just gorgeously hydrated and looks super dewy all day. I’ve used it in conjunction with my daily day and night time skin care routine and it’s made so much of a difference in the general appearance of my skin.
