2017 Review: Looking Back And Looking Ahead – Dhillondeeds

This year has brought so many beautiful moments for our family as well as the blog not as much has happened since 2016 but here’s a little look back at the years biggest moments and what it has brought us as well as what we’re  looking forward to in the new year.

While I haven’t grown too much in following I feel that this years growth has been a true reflection of my true passion, time and effort I put into the content of Dhillondeeds. We were lucky enough to be invited to some awesome launches including Carlucci’s and The Ritz Carlton. We’ve also had the amazing opportunity of working with so many wonderful brands including Hidden Hijabs, You Said It Cards, Mbotanicals, Sia, Yutaka, Lifecake and Brinley Williams. And had the incredible opportunity to be affiliated with Ali Huda and got nominated for 3 blogging awards with Muslimah Bloggers which was undoubtably the highlight for me.

I won’t say that we’ve completely settled in our new home just yet but we are working on it and I am excited for 2018. If you’ve ever been an expat you will understand. This year we celebrated our 3rd marriage anniversary as well as  our little girls first birthday with family and friends who flew all the way to Qatar to join us. It was really exciting (and exhausting) showing them around and being a tourist too. We also celebrated Halloween for the first time which was great! And as clichey as it might sound, I can’t believe how quickly a year past. Miss sweet cheeks is growing and surprising us everyday with her development. I am excited to see what the new year has install for our family.

It was definitely packed with travel and wander. We experienced the glistening water of the Maldives for a little family getaway which was a total surprise, the friendly atmosphere of Bahrain for my birthday and the breathtaking landscape of Ireland as it was somewhere I’ve dreamt about visiting as a child. We also visited family in South Africa where they met miss sweet cheeks for the first time and we spent Christmas in England again this year.

I own a makeup business selling Younique products. It’s been my little baby this year. I’ve worked really hard to build my clientele worldwide but I still have a long way to go before it starts bringing in the figures I am aiming for but we did reach yellow status which I am so incredibly grateful for. I love what I do, I love the opportunities starting this little business has brought me, I love the beautiful woman I have met, I love the confidence I nurture through this and as the new year approaches I want to work harder and grow bigger. If you would like to join my team just let me know.

A new year is always the best time to make changes, set boundaries, accomplish personal goals and overall just be utterly and completely happy and content. Looking ahead that is really all I want for myself and my family. To go into the New Year with open minds, endless possibilities and to be proactive.

I’ve had fun sharing my life in 2014, 2015 and 2016 with all of you, wishing you all the peace and love this world has to offer. May all your wishes and dreams come true and may your New Year sparkle and shine and bring you everything you’ve ever wanted.

Thank you for being a big part of my life.

Keep Smiling,
